My Journey

Academic Excellence & Medical Passion
My medical journey is built on a simple premise: clinical excellence must come first. I ranked 1st in my class during the initial years and maintained a Top 10 position throughout my six years at Tartous University (GPA 93.68%). My ambition is firmly rooted in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. I don't see high-level clinical knowledge as the finish line, but rather as the essential foundation needed to build technological tools that can genuinely improve patient survival and care.
Driven by Two Realities
Training in Syria exposed me to the harsh reality of limited research infrastructure. Instead of accepting this barrier, I decided to learn the language of technology. I realized that while medical schools teach us how to heal, they rarely teach us how to navigate the digital tools shaping modern healthcare. I taught myself programming and AI architecture to bridge the gap between our local clinical reality and global scientific standards, believing that digital fluency is a mandatory skill for the modern physician.
Global Impact & Future Trajectory
This pivot led me to build MedResearchCollab (MRC), a digital ecosystem architected in collaboration with engineering alumni from Cornell University. What started as a personal initiative is now actively utilized by a global network of medical researchers from top-tier institutions across the US, Europe (including Oxford and ICL), and the Gulf region. We have also established solid connections with IFMSA-affiliated medical organizations across Latin America and East Asia. Looking forward, my goal is clear: I am actively preparing to pursue an Internal Medicine residency in the US, having already passed USMLE Step 1. As a future physician-scientist, I want to bring this global, tech-forward perspective directly to patient care in Cardiology.
Community Leadership & Mentorship
Committed to empowering the next generation of physician-scientists. In official voluntary collaboration with JCI (Junior Chamber International) and Syrian Medical Universities, I design and deliver extensive scientific research workshops, training medical students and graduates on clinical protocols and methodology.
